Following many months of pandemic restrictions this June’s Icefish will provide exhibitors with the long overdue facility for multiple face to face business meetings in one place.

Large National pavilions will be present from Denmark, Norway, Faroe Islands and new for this exhibition, Spain.

Marianne Rasmussen-Coulling, Events Director,
Mercator Media Ltd – Icefish organisers, commented "Icefish 2022 will offer an unparalleled platform in a rapid changing world. As the leading commercial fishing exhibition in the North, Icefish is proven to be the perfect platform to showcase the strength and innovation of the fishing industry. I am very much looking forward to see the exhibition make its spectacular return in June".

Icefish has also launched a new virtual exhibition and community platform, which will give exhibitors in June a reach, far beyond the face to face experience in the exhibition halls over the 3 show days.

June’s event will also welcome new initiatives including:
  • Icefish Connect virtual exhibition and webinar platform to extend the reach beyond the exhibition halls.
  • Match making meetings – following the success of 90 meetings between 24 countries in 2017, this will again be a feature during Icefish.
  • 4th Fishwaste for Profit Conference – on day 2 and 3. Iceland truly pioneers in this, it will be aligned with a dedicated area for processing, value added, aquaculture and byproducts within the exhibition.
  • 8th Icelandic Fisheries Awards – held on the first night of the exhibition, the awards recognise excellence in Icelandic and International fisheries and seafood.
  • Continuous news reporting from sister titles World Fishing and Aquaculture and Fiskifrettir, Iceland’s weekly fishing news paper.
The return of the IceFish Bursary: Bursary of 2 million re-invested into the sector via further education for 4 students at Grindavik Technical College. The judging panel includes representatives from the Icefish organising team, Fisheries Iceland (SFS), Grindavik College, Marel and Landssamband Smábataeigenda.
