It began its operations more than 15 years ago as part of the DERSA group, a recognized and well-established Chilean economic group.

In 1992, Friosur formed a partnership with Grandi HF, a well known Icelandic fishing company and a leader in the industry. Additionally, Friosur has developed strategic alliances with other world known companies such as Nippon Suisan (Japan) and Sealord (New Zealand).
