Moen Marin is part of ScaleAQ. ScaleAQ is a total supplier to the Norwegian and international aquaculture industry

Moen Marin acquires PMH Norway

  (NORWAY, 1/10/2025)

Moen Marin, the world's largest supplier of work vessels to the aquaculture industry, is now acquiring the Trøndelag company PMH Norway.

Moen Marin, which is located in the technology city of Trondheim and in Rørvik, places a high priority on technology development. With this acquisition, Moen Marin will be able to develop and deliver vessels with far more integrated and functional total solutions, which will benefit customers at home and abroad.

PMH Norway has a wide range of technology and advanced products for propulsion, dynamic positioning and maneuvering systems, hydraulic systems and deck equipment for customers in offshore, passenger transport, fishing, shipping and aquaculture. With Moen Marin as a new and strong industrial owner, PMH Norway will gain the muscle to further develop existing solutions as well as produce new technology and innovative solutions.

"This acquisition is in line with our vision to strengthen and promote sustainable, high-tech and cost-effective maritime solutions. Through many years of cooperation, we know PMH's products well. They are stable, solid and very well adapted to our market. By including the company in our portfolio, we see opportunities to further develop total products for our customers. Our customers are interested in robust solutions with few integrations, and with this we further strengthen the good solutions we have in our service and work boats", says Bernt Lilliestråle, CEO of Moen Marin.

PMH Norway will become a subsidiary of Moen Marin and will continue under the same brand name. The company, which is located in Bosberg west of Trondheim, has 16 employees with broad mechanical, electrical and technical expertise.

"We are delighted to have Moen Marin as owners. We will keep the name and much will remain the same, but we have products that we have wanted to develop further and sell to both existing and new markets. Now we are getting the muscles to implement this and grow further", says Kåre Vevik, CEO of PMH Norway.

Moen Marin is part of ScaleAQ. ScaleAQ is a total supplier to the Norwegian and international aquaculture industry, with a wide range of solutions and services that contribute to the further sustainable development of the industry. The group also develops and sells software that connects products into effective and comprehensive solutions, and in this way helps shape the aquaculture industry of tomorrow.

"For ScaleAQ, it is a pleasure to have PMH Norway on the team. The company has good products and solid expertise that fits very well with us. The strength of ScaleAQ is the expertise of our skilled employees in all divisions, the quality of the products and services we collectively deliver, as well as our continuous focus on improvement and further development towards customer needs and challenges. With PMH on the team, we will be even stronger. We look forward to linking PMH Norway closely with Moen Marin and the rest of the group. In this way, we will benefit from our shared experiences and expertise in further product development", says Audun Fjeldvær, CEO of ScaleAQ.

The agreement for the transfer of ownership was entered into on 07.01 and the transaction has already been completed.
