Land-based fish farming is the fastest growing industry in Norway and ACEL's ambition is to be the best electricity supplier for this market.

ACEL Group enters into a historic double contract with Artec Aqua

  (NORWAY, 9/9/2024)

The ACEL Group is in a hectic period with high activity and strong order intake across the entire group. We are therefore proud to announce that our aquaculture department has recently secured two important contracts in its field. Both agreements have been concluded with Artec Aqua, and we look forward to starting work on these exciting projects.

The first contract concerns Salmon Evolution's construction stage B at Indre Harøy, and represents the largest contract we have entered into in the group's history. This record contract is a significant step for ACEL Group and underlines our position as a leading player in the industry. The fact that we have been chosen as the electrical contractor for the next construction stage after we delivered construction stage A testifies to the trust and expertise we have built up among both customers and end customers.

Salmon Evolution has the world's largest food fish farm on land, and today produces sustainable, high-quality salmon.

"We are happy to be able to continue the good collaboration with ACEL from the first construction stage" Ole Gunnar Lyngstad, Project Manager at Artec Aqua.

"We are very grateful for the trust that Artec Aqua and Salmon Evolution have shown us, and we look forward to continuing our work to support their ambitious development on Indre Harøy," says Ardian Preteni, Head of the Department for Land Based Farming at ACEL AS.

The second contract covers electrical installation at a smolt plant for Eide Smolt in Sunndalen, where work has already begun. The project includes the establishment of six smolt tanks in the first phase. ACEL Group looks forward to using its expertise and experience to ensure the successful completion of this project.

The establishment in the land-based farming market is an important milestone for us as a growing electrical contractor. By contributing to sustainable solutions that reduce carbon footprints and improve resource utilization, we strengthen both our position and Norway's ambition to lead the development of green technology in the aquaculture industry. This venture opens the door for significant growth and recruitment, while at the same time we contribute to shaping the breeding facilities of the future with innovative and efficient solutions.
