The project adopts the "fish-light complementarity" model, making full use of the abundant water surface space of local fish ponds

DMEGC Solar supplies 940MW of modules for the Aquaculture-PV project

  (CHINA, 8/29/2024)

940MW attracts attention! Hengdian Dongci Solar helps Jiangsu Ganyu build the largest aquaculture-solar complementary project in the province

Recently, the 940MW aquaculture-solar complementary photovoltaic power generation project in Ganyu District, Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province has attracted the attention and coverage of the People's Daily. The project was invested and constructed by Lianyungang Ganyu Dongshang Photovoltaic Power Generation Co., Ltd. and Lianyungang Ganyu Dongyu Photovoltaic Power Generation Co., Ltd., subsidiaries of Hengdian Dongci Solar. All of the N-type 630 modules provided by Hengdian Dongci Solar Energy were used, providing a strong guarantee for its high power generation efficiency and high-reliability operation.

Looking down from the air at the project base under construction, the rows of photovoltaic panels on the water surface have built neat "green elevator fields", which are shining under the sunlight and are spectacular. The project is currently under steady construction and is expected to start grid-connected power generation at the end of October this year. After completion, the annual total power generation is expected to reach 1.609 billion kWh, saving 496,400 tons of coal per year, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 1.2374 million tons/year, sulfur dioxide by 200.55 tons/year, and nitrogen oxides by 286.51 tons/year, and achieving sales revenue of 629 million yuan (U$D 88m). The project will also become the largest aquaculture-photovoltaic complementary new energy project in Jiangsu Province.

The project adopts the "fish-light complementarity" model, making full use of the abundant water surface space of local fish ponds, combining water power generation with underwater aquaculture to create a mutually beneficial and win-win industrial collaborative development model, effectively improving the economic value per unit area of land, driving the transformation and upgrading of traditional fish farming to modern aquaculture, achieving efficient use of land resources and ecological development, and creating a "new model" of cross-border integration of clean energy.

As a long-term practitioner of green development, Hengdian Dongci Solar Energy has always been committed to promoting the construction of clean energy projects and continuously and steadily providing high-quality, high-assurance, and high-reliability photovoltaic products and solutions to the global market. In the future, Hengdian Dongci Solar Energy will continue to use green electricity as a pen to draw more new blueprints for sustainable development!
