DanFish International Will be Held as an In-person Exhibition in October

A lot of trade fairs and exhibitions have been cancelled during the past year due to Covid-19. The organizer of DanFish International, which normally attracts 14,000 visitors from Denmark and abroad, has announced that the exhibition will be held in-person in October.

The Aalborg Congress & Culture Center (AKKC) is the organizer of DanFish International, which is a major international exhibition of equipment for the fishing industry hosting approximatedely 400 exhibitors from all over the world. The organizers have been following the Covid related restrictions imposed on the events industry with bated breath. But now the Danish organizer has announced that DanFish International will be held as an in-person event in Aalborg, Denmark 13-15 October 2021.

DanFish International is one of Europe’s most important fishing events for buyers, and with a strong vaccination program, the new Corona passport, and the Danish politicians’ announcements that we will be obtaining a gradual return to normality after the summer holidays, so the organizers can now  announce that DanFish will be held as an in-person exhibition in 2021, says Nicolaj Holm, director of AKKC.

The organizer guarantees that all possible requirements regarding hygiene, social distancing, etc. will be complied with so that all visitors and exhibitors can feel completely safe while participating in the fisheries exhibition.

DanFish International is one of the leading fairs of its kind in the world. The exhibition gives visitors the opportunity to gain an overview of the supply in the market.

DanFish International is one of the most important exhibitions of equipment for the fishing industry and an international meeting place for all actors in the fishing industry. The approx. 12,000 square meters of exhibition area is filled up with the exhibitors, displaying all things fishing, ranging from nets, trawls, engines, electronics, shipyards, and more.

This year will be the 27th time that DanFish International is held in Aalborg.

Ever since 1974, large-scale events designed for fishing professionals have been held in Aalborg every 2–3 years, with the emphasis on solutions for the fishermen themselves, their boats and fishing equipment.

Located in the North of Jutland, Denmark, the city is the geographical centre for more than half of the fishing professionals registered in the country. From the very start, the event has been marketed as “The Fishermen’s Own Exhibition”.
