About UniSea

UniSea’s partnership with Alaska began 35 years ago in Dutch Harbor on a barge processing King Crab and Tanner Crab. Over the years, the company has grown to its current state-of-the-art on-shore processing facilities.

As the company has grown, so has its commitment to the environment, the people, and the rich Bering Sea fisheries.

UniSea employs an average of 1,500 people.

UniSea is fortunate to be able to attract and retain a diverse workforce of US citizens and individuals who are eligible to work in the United States. Many of its employees become US citizens while employed by UniSea and become active, contributing residents of Alaska.

The financial and economic contributions made by UniSea to Alaska range from meeting the fiscal responsibilities associated with doing business, to financial and product donations in response to recognized needs and to fundraising requests.
