Trout Fed with Algae and Insects
(CHILE, 4/8/2024)
In the wild, trout feed on algae, insects, fish and microorganisms. The rich premium food that Caleta Bay's fish from in southern Chile consume contains algae oil from Veramaris, grown in land-based farms, and organic insect meal from Food4future, which allows to balance the use of marine resources, contributing to their natural regeneration.
This helps to reduce dependency on industrial fishing (main source to get fish oil/meal for feed production) helping to regenerate and conserve wild fish population. By purchasing just 40 boxes of Caleta Bay's Algae & Insects products, you are helping to conserve 3.166 lb of wild fish population. This product line embrace and promotes also Caleta Bay's sustainable initiatives, with a primary focus in the regenerative concept.
