Pharmaq acquires Norwegian fish vaccination company

Pharmaq, a business of the leading animal health company Zoetis, announced the acquisition of the Norwegian company Nordland Sett Vaks, an innovator in the manufacture and marketing of high quality vaccination machinery for the aquaculture industry.
The acquired company is based in Nesna, Norway, and offers a wide range of fish vaccination services and sale of vaccination machines to fish farming companies in Norway, the UK and in the Mediterranean region.
Morten Nordstad, President of Pharmaq, besides expressing his satisfaction regarding the purchase, stressed, “We have known Nordland Sett Vaks for a long time, and we have been very impressed with their high focus on quality and innovative solutions."
Nordland Sett Vaks was established in 1995, and it is today a leading machine fish vaccination company for a variety of different fish species in several markets.
For his part, Svein Alexandersen, Senior Manager Customer Service for Norway and Nordics, Pharmaq, emphasized that Nordland Sett Vaks will enable Pharmaq to offer complete vaccination solutions to their customers all over the world.
Alexandersen expressed his hopes that these safe and efficient vaccination services will help increase the adoption of the use of vaccines in several markets.
