If you dined at virtually every high profile restaurant from B.C. to California; if you’ve shopped for seafood at almost any supermarket in B.C. or Alberta; if you have visited the bustling fish markets in Vancouver, then you’ve most likely enjoyed the products of the largest seafood company in Western Canada – Albion Fisheries Ltd.
Founded by Dave T. Athey in March of 1963 out of the back of his pick-up truck, we have grown into a business that employs 300 people in four different locations (Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary and Queen Charlotte). From a few restaurants, we now have a customer base of over 2,000 located throughout the world! In 2005 we joined forces with GFS Canada Company Inc (Gordon Food Service) and can now offer coast to coast distribution in Canada. We supply our customers from a staggering list of over 3,500 delicious products that come from the clear, icy cold waters of the Pacific Northwest to as far away as New Zealand, Russia, Namibia, Ecuador and Vietnam just to name a few. We are an integrated global seafood specialist with one mission:
“To Make It Easy for you to succeed with seafood.”
