Fortune Fish Company was formed in June of 2001 By Sean O’Scannlain and Mark Gorogianis . O’Scannlain and Gorogianis have more than 35 years of combined experience in the seafood processing and distribution business. The founders were joined by several key associates, the top six of whom have more than 100 years of experience.
The Company’s sales volume is comprised of approximately 70% fresh or live seafood items and 30% frozen products. The Company operates out of a 40,000 square foot facility that includes freezer space, 2 refrigerated coolers, a refrigerated production room, dry storage and office space. The building was erected in 1981 by Kraft Foods for its Sage Foods division.
The supplier base consists of approximately 200 companies located throughout the world. They range in size from a single fisherman with a single vessel to large multi-national aquaculture firms, all HACCP approved.
