There has been good fishing in the north with a total of 1,574 tonnes registered. Both the size and the quality of the fish have been good. Despite the good catches, there have been challenging weather conditions, and quite a few unloading queues have also arisen.
North Sea herring:

Fishing has been good in the British zone, while it has been worse in the Norwegian zone. The large fleet mainly uses trawls, while the smaller fleet uses seine. A total of 9,716 tonnes of North Sea herring were caught last week. The fish is of high quality, and most of the catch has gone for consumption. There are now fewer boats on the field than before.
Blue Whiting:

Six different boats have caught a total of 2,486 tonnes of blue whiting.
Some smaller catches of Norway Pout and Sandeel have also been caught, 43 tonnes and 6 tonnes respectively.
