The opening ceremony of the Fish Feed JSC plant took place in the Narimanovsky district of the Astrakhan region. The event was attended by the regional governor Igor Yuryevich Babushkin and other key representatives of Astrakhan ministries and departments.
According to the company, the project was launched in 2018 in the Lotos Special Economic Zone of the Astrakhan region. The design capacity of the plant is 50 thousand tons annually. To date, the first production line, designed to produce 25 thousand tons per year, has been put into operation and is successfully operating. The installation and commissioning of the second line is planned for 2025.
JSC "Fish Feed" produces aquaculture feed for trout and sturgeon fish, both production and feed for replacement broodstock, the company noted. It is planned to launch the production of fry food. Feed is sold throughout Russia, with about 6% purchased in the Astrakhan region itself.
“It’s very nice when industrial production develops as part of the development of infrastructure investment projects. A striking example was the creation and arrangement of the Fish Feed plant on the territory of the Lotus special economic zone,”the governor commented during the ceremony.
A long-term cooperation agreement was also signed between JSC Fish Feeds and the Astrakhan State Technical University - an important initiative that will help make the training of specialists for the industry more effective.
