Alexander Panin was re-elected chairman of the Fishing Union for five years

  • On May 24, a meeting of members of the Fishing Union took place at the Russian Sea JSC fish processing plant in Noginsk (Moscow region).
  • At the meeting, the union’s financial statements for 2023 were approved, changes were made to the association’s budget for 2024, and an auditor was selected for the current year. Alexander Panin was re-elected chairman of the Fishing Union for the next five years by voting.

Representatives of companies included in the Fishing Union noted the conscientious and effective activities of the organization’s apparatus. 

“I am grateful for your trust and appreciation of our work. The mission of the Fishing Union is the development of the domestic fish market. Thanks to joint efforts and constructive interaction with industry participants and regulators, it is possible to solve problems step by step and support the expansion of fish production in Russia. There are still many important tasks ahead, we will solve them for the benefit of the industry and consumers,” said Alexander Panin.

Next, the meeting participants discussed issues related to: 

  • carrying out an experiment on labeling canned products with identification means;
  • work on changes to GOST 18173-2004 “Granular salmon caviar in jars. Technical conditions"; 
  • introducing amendments to the technical regulations of the EAEU “On the safety of fish and fish products” (040/2016);
  • popularization of fish products and other areas of work. 

After the official part, Stanislav Ostapchenko, General Director of Russian Sea JSC, and his team took a tour of the plant. The guests of the enterprise thanked the employees of the Russian Sea for their hospitality, emphasizing that this format of meetings promotes open dialogue, exchange of experience, and therefore further development of the industry. 

The next general meeting is scheduled for the end of 2024. It will take place at the site of the new member of the Fishing Union - Alanya Trout LLC.

Today, the Fish Union includes more than 30 companies that are leaders in the fish market. Our companies are engaged in the extraction, and production of high-quality products, wholesale and retail trade of Russian and imported fish and seafood.
