Camanchaca's salmon subsidiary is moving forward decisively in its opening process on the Stock Exchange. Even, it took its first steps to inform on the possible areas to which it will allocate the amounts that it eventually collects by opening. And the process goes on its way.
Through an essential fact reported to the Superintendency of Securities and Insurance (SVS), Salmones Camanchaca -- a firm that in the document specified that its registration in the Securities Registry is still ongoing -- noted that SalmonChile’s outgoing president Felipe Sandoval and the former Finance manager of aquaculture firm Cermaq, Tore Valderhaug, were appointed as directors of the company.
According to the information, the decision was adopted in the extraordinary board session dated November 15 in order to replace Jan Stengel and Luis Hernán Paul in their positions.
Sandoval and Valderhaug have vast experience in aquaculture. In addition to being SalmonChile's helmsman for four years, Sandoval served as AquaChile's public affairs director, was executive secretary of the 'salmon working group' - a body created to address ISA virus crisis in the aquaculture industry -- and served as Undersecretary of Fisheries.
Valderhaug was also a finance manager at Pharmaq, one of the leading animal health firms, and currently serves as director of companies linked to aquaculture and as financial advisor.
