On Mercabarna, during week 47, the most important variations in tunid and squaliform species were the drops in fresh and frozen swordfish, fresh northern albacore and frozen tope shark. The most important rises were those in fresh tope shark and fresh tuna.

Supplies of tunid and squaliform species increased on Mercamadrid, as in the case of swordfish. Those of albacore and shorfin mako declined.

Prices

Prices of skipjack on Bangkok remained at USD 1,400/kg. Some experts have foreseen there could be a drop before the end of the year, due to the rise in supplies following the good volume caught in the main beds.

Spain

The prices of yellowfin for the canning industry remained at EUR 2,300/t EXW Spain. The price of skipjack > 1.8-3.4 kg remained at EUR 1,200/t EXW Spain. Regarding swordfish, the prices remained the same as those of the previous week.
