On Mercamadrid, incoming volumes of aquaculture species declined in June. The most important drops were registered in small seabass, medium-sized seabass and turbot.

On Mercabarna, supplies of aquaculture seabream, croaker and turbot increased. Those of seabass and seabream dropped. The most important variation was the drop in seabass, by 25 tonnes.
Prices
Spain
In Mercabarna, in June, prices of croaker rose due to a higher demand. Those of seabass and seabream declined due to the lower demand. That of turbot remained stable.
On Mercamadrid, average prices of June increased in the case of medium-sized seabream by EUR 0.41/kg, following a drop in supplies. That of larger seabream declined by EUR 0.44/kg and turbot by EUR 0.30/kg. Those of mackerel increased due to the drop of the demand. In the rest of species and presentations, the variations were slight.

Markets
European Union
In the EU, between January and April, imports of turbot, seabream and seabass increased. Turkey and Greece were the main origins in imports of these three species. Within the EU, the main origins of intracommunity imports were Spain and the Netherlands.
As regards exports, during the same period, there was a rise in turbot, seabass and seabream. The main destinations of exports in the EU were Spain, Italy and Portugal.
