Prices
At US Customs, the average price of Alaska pollock surimi (Gadus chalcogrammus) (HS 0304991130) was USD 2.69/kg in September. This price is 1% lower than August and 1% higher than September 2018. In the first nine months of the year, the price averaged USD 2.74/kg, up 7% on that of the same period in 2018.

Markets
In the reported month, American exports of Alaska pollock surimi were 22,338 tons worth USD 60,022,000, 32% lower volume and down 33 %value than the previous month and 18% less in volume and 17% in value than those of September of last year.

In the period, exports reached 150,564 tonnes worth USD 412,540,000, 2% less in volume and 7% more in value than in the previous year.

So far this year, Japan has been destined for 61,522 tonnes for USD 167,176,000, followed by Korea with 55,513 tonnes.
