1.1 Norway
Salmon (Salmo salar)
Prices
During week 44, the average price of fresh salmon (Salmo Salar) was NOK 52.99 (EUR 5.22/kg). This price is down 2% on that of the previous week and dow 1% on that of the same week in 2018. In relation to the same week of 2017, it grows 8% according to the statistics of Norway.

The average price of exports of frozen salmon was NOK 50.83 (EUR 5.00/kg), 9% lower than the price of the previous week and 17% higher than the same week of 2018, being 15 lower than 2017.

Markets
Exports of fresh salmon during the week reported 21,899 tonnes. This figure is 1% higher than the previous week and 13% higher than that of the same week in 2018, growing 12% in relation to the same week of 2017. So far this year, exports of salmon registered 785,213 tonnes, up 5% in volume on that of the same period in 2018 and up 14% on that of 2017.

Exports of frozen products during the week reported 647 tonnes. This figure is 41% higher than in the previous week and 74% in the same week of 2018, growing 23% in relation to the same week of 2017. During the year, exports of frozen salmon registered 17,145 tonnes, up 12% on that of the same period in the previous year and down 5% on that of the same period in 2017.
