Surimi

Prices

The average price of other surimi (HS 0304991140) at US Customs was USD 2.85/kg in August, up 4% on that of the previous month and up 16% on that of August 2018. During the first eight months, the average was USD 2.63/kg, up 17% on that of the same period in 2017.

Market

In the month, the exports of these surimis were 597 tons, for an FOB value declared in customs of USD 1,701,000, 135% more in volume and 172% in value than in August 2018.

Exports in the first eight months of the year totaled 6,553 tonnes for USD 17,254,000, 23% less in volume and 10% in value than in 2018.

The 35% of these exports were sent to Spain, 2,276 tonnes, worth USD 6,088,000.
