Itoyori surimi
Price
The average CIF price of itoyori surimi was JPY 338/kg at Japanese Customs in December, similar on that of the previous month and down 3% on that of 2018. In the first ieght months, the average was JPY 338/kg, up 1% on that of the same period in 2018.

Markets
Japanese imports of Itoyorí surimi in the month reported were 1,027 tons with an approximate CIF value of JPY 347 million, which indicates 20% lower volume and value compared to July being 8% more in volume and 5% in value compared to 2018.

In the eight first months of the year imports totaled 11,936 tonnes and JPY 4,038 million, 12% lower volume and up 1% value than in the same period last year.

Thailand was the main supplier of itoyori surimi during the period. Sales amounted to 5,20 tonnes worth about JPY 1,839 million CIF. India supplied 2,776 tonnes.
