Mr. Richard B. Buchanan is President, Chief Executive Officer, Secretary, Director of Agrimarine Holdings Inc. Mr. Buchanan became the President of AgriMarine in 1990, and was initially responsible for overseeing the development and operations of the Big Tree Creek Salmon Hatchery, Kyuquot Sound Salmon Farms, and Campbell River Salmon Processing Plant. With over 26 years experience in the agriculture and fishery industries, he was President of Agrodev Canada Inc., a subsidiary of Envirocon Pacific Ltd. (“Envirocon”) primarily responsible for international agriculture and fishery developments. Mr. Buchanan was President and Founder of Envirocon where he was involved with the development of water and waste treatment systems for the pulp and paper industry, as well as resource development environmental assessments. Prior to Envirocon, he was also employed as a design engineer in water supply and pumping systems for pulp and paper mills at H.A. Simons Engineering. Mr. Buchanan has been on the Board of Directors at Kyuquot First Nation Corporation since 1998, and is presently Treasurer of the Vancouver Aquarium Conservation Foundation. Mr. Buchanan obtained his Bachelors of Science in Engineering (Civil) degree from McMaster University. |
