Mahleres’ responsibilities lie in the quest for top-quality fresh and frozen seafood. As a 16-year employee and veteran of the seafood trade, he has an enviable knowledge of the global seafood market. Mahleres utilizes that knowledge every day as he sources seafood and other food purchases for the company.

For Mahleres, it’s more than finding a new product. He prides himself on his attention to detail and adherence to the highest industry standards, taking each potential new product and vendor through a qualifying process to ensure both meet Seattle Fish Company expectations.

Mahleres is a Colorado native, growing up on the Western Slope and graduating from Grand Junction High School. He received his bachelor of science degree in business from the University of Colorado in 1971.

Mahleres is the proud father of three children, and celebrated his twenty-fifth wedding anniversary in 2008. And he enjoys a game of golf when his schedule permits.
