SeaMarket consults with national and international sustainable seafood producers and catchers, distributors and related non-profit associations. By providing sales, marketing and branding strategies, SeaMarket helps producers and catchers get their products into the retail world. The company is exploring the development of its own social venture to advocate the benefits of better options for consumers in seafood aisles.
SeaMarket is currently working out of the Coast Capital Savings Innovation Hub at UBC’s Sauder School of Business. Accepted as one of seven social enterprises in BC, the Hub space and affiliated entrepreneurship program helps ventures create scalable and sustainable solutions to social and environmental problems.
