Australian company partners with Chinese distributor to supply high-efficiency blowers to the region that produces over 50% of the country's aquaculture output.
Sprintex Limited, an Australia-based company, has announced an exclusive three-year, A$9.3 million agreement with Guangdong Baode Technology Co., Ltd. (BD Compressor), a major Chinese supplier of aeration equipment for the aquaculture sector. This private-label deal, the first of its kind for Sprintex, marks its strategic entry into China's massive aquaculture market.

Under the agreement, BD Compressor will distribute Sprintex’s G15 series high-speed blowers under its own brand, with a minimum purchase commitment expected to generate A$9.3 million (¥44.08 million RMB). The minimum order for the first quarter is A$320,000, providing early revenue visibility and allowing Sprintex to scale up its operations.

A Strategic Opportunity in the World's Largest Aquaculture Market
China dominates global aquaculture production, accounting for over 60% of the world's total with approximately 50 million tonnes annually. The Guangdong Province, where BD Compressor is located, is the epicenter of this industry, producing more than half of China's national output.
The Chinese aquaculture market is growing rapidly, expanding by 4% to 5% annually, driven by increasing seafood demand and government regulations requiring more sustainable and energy-efficient equipment. Sprintex's oil-free, high-efficiency blowers offer over 50% energy savings compared to conventional technologies, positioning them well to meet these needs.
Jay Upton, Sprintex's Managing Director, commented, "This agreement with BD Compressor is a significant milestone as Sprintex expands into China, the world's largest and fastest-growing aquaculture market. BD's established reputation and national network, combined with Sprintex's leading technology, will see this partnership deliver thousands of units to the Chinese aquaculture sector and provide considerable environmental and cost-saving benefits."
