At the salmon fishing season in the Far East, Chukotka is ahead of the indicators

By August 3, 2020, the volume of Pacific salmon harvest exceeded 120 thousand tons, which is 54% of the record level of 2018.
The volumes of catches by regions were: Kamchatka Territory - 98,709 tons, Khabarovsk Territory - 10,219 tons, Sakhalin Region - 6,823 tons, Magadan Region - 3,070 tons, Primorsky Territory 896 tons, Chukotka Autonomous Okrug - 1,027 tons.
The Kamchatka Territory remains the leader in the production of Pacific salmon. In the Khabarovsk and Primorsky Territories, the volume of production corresponds to the indicators of 2018, users of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug are ahead of the results of 2018 by 30%.
Over the past week, the catch in the Karaginskaya subarea increased by 1,349 tons, with a total of 20,042 tons harvested. The main share of the catch fell on pink salmon - 16,379 tons. Chum salmon - 2,472 tons, sockeye salmon - 1,122 tons, chinook salmon - 20 tons.
In the Petropavlovsko-Komandorskaya subarea, the total catch exceeded 8,032 tons (an increase of 2,086 tons per week). The main share of the catch fell on the Ust-Kamchatka sockeye salmon (catch 6 073 tons). The catch of chum salmon - 937 tons, pink salmon - 724 tons, chinook salmon - 235 tons, which is comparable to the same catch figures for chinook salmon, chum salmon and pink salmon in 2018.
In the West Kamchatka subarea, a total of 35,680 tons were mined (an increase of 16,709 tons per week), of which 29,938 tons of pink salmon, which is more than 11 thousand tons higher than the same indicators in 2018, 4,322 tons of chum salmon and 1,399 tons of sockeye salmon.
In the Kamchatka-Kuril subarea, the total catch amounted to 32,786 tons, which is 19,301 tons less than in 2018. In the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug in the West Bering Sea zone, the catch was 1,027 tons, chum salmon - 701 tons, sockeye salmon - 184 tons and pink salmon - 128 tons. In 2018, the catch was 786 tons.
In total, as of August 2, the catch is 98 709 tons, development - 41.2% of the volume of the possible catch of 239 842 tons. The catch volume is lower than the indicators of 2018 by 97,239 tons (in 2018 - 195,948 tons).
The processing of raw Pacific salmon is carried out at onshore processing enterprises and on fish processing vessels, which are concentrated in the West Bering Sea zone, in the Karaginskaya and Petropavlovsko-Komandorskaya subzones on the East coast and in the West Kamchatka and Kamchatsko-Kurilskaya subzones on the Western coast. Today on the East coast of Kamchatka, 21 vessels are accepting, 2,083 tons of raw material have been received; on the western coast of Kamchatka, 67 vessels are accepted, 17,835 tons of raw material are received. 19 thousand tons of fish products from Pacific salmon were shipped for transportation. The main destination is the port of Vladivostok and the ports of the countries of Southeast Asia.
The average load level of refrigerators in Primorsky Krai is 53.8%. 25 vessels are approaching, the total volume of fish products is 34 464 tons, of which eight vessels with salmon products, the volume of fish products is 6 255 tons.
