Wholesale prices for frozen fish continue to decline in Russia

During the week from 19 to 25 July, prices for frozen fish in the wholesale segment of the Russian market continued to decline. Wholesale prices for frozen fish continued to decline.
In the Far East region, as the fishing season increased, the wholesale cost of pink salmon dropped to 255 rubles per kg from 275 rubles a week earlier. Prices for Pacific herring also decreased by 4.4% - to 65 rubles per kg. Prices for other types of frozen fish have not changed: pollock costs 73 rubles per kg, flounder - 65 rubles, Pacific cod - 163 rubles per kg.
In the Northwest region, cod continued to fall in price by 2.3% - to 210 rubles per kg, mackerel - by 5.9%, to 160 rubles per kg. Prices for haddock and Atlantic herring remained at the same level - 140 rubles and 102 rubles per kg, respectively.
In the central regions, the active importation of the summer catch of Atlantic mackerel contributed to its reduction in price by 8.6%, to 160 rubles per kg. The wholesale price for pollock also decreased by 2.2% - to 91 rubles per kg. Prices for other types of frozen fish remained stable: capelin costs 125 rubles per kg, Atlantic herring - 110 rubles per kg.
The average level of consumer prices for frozen uncut fish in the period from 13 to 19 July increased by 0.15%.
