At the Khabarovsk shipbuilding plant, the ceremony of launching the crab fishing vessel of project 03141 "Omolon" took place. The ship is being built as part of the fleet renewal program based on the results of crab auctions with investment obligations.
Crab catcher "Omolon" was laid down in March 2020. This is the first of two crab catchers under construction for the Magadan company Mag-C International LLC.
The vessel is intended for fishing for crab and shrimp with traps, as well as for storing the catch in chilled sea water with subsequent transportation of the fresh product to the port.
The length and width of the project 03141 vessel are 63.27 m and 10.6 m, gross tonnage is more than 1,000 tons, navigation autonomy is 45 days, crew size is 21 people.
Investment projects for the construction of fishing vessels and fish processing plants have been extended for two years
The deadlines for the implementation of investment projects for the construction of fishing vessels and fish processing plants have been extended for two years. The resolution to this effect was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
This will allow investors experiencing difficulties in the face of external sanctions pressure to avoid the risks of terminating investment quota agreements and continue the work they have begun.
The first contracts for the construction of fishing vessels and fish processing plants were signed in 2018 with a term for the implementation of investment projects until 2024. In total, 64 such contracts for the construction of ships with an investment of about 205 billion rubles (U$D 3.1 billion) and 24 contracts for the construction of fish processing plants with an investment of about 25 billion rubles (U$D 382 M) were signed. All ships are built at Russian shipyards.
