Imports of frozen rays from Argentina represent 46% of the total

The number of frozen rays imported to Korea in March 2021 was 976 tonnes, a 6% increase from 917 tonnes in 2020.
The main exporting countries of frozen ray are 12, among them Argentina, with 45% of the total volume, followed by Chile with 276 tons, Uruguay with 79 tons, the United States with 42 tons and New Zealand with 38 tons.
The unit import price per country was USD 6.64 / kg, the highest for the United States product, USD 4.14 / kg for Argentina and USD 2.31 / kg for China.
In Korea, the volume of seafood sales is declining due to the social transaction triggered by the coronavirus.
