Imports of frozen white legged shrimps (vannamei) decreased by 46%.

In January 2020, imports of frozen white legged shrimps amounted to 1,104 tons, down about 46% from 2,052 tons a year earlier.
The average January import volume from 2015 to 2020 was about 1,537 tons, which means that the 1,104 tons imported in 2020 represented a drop of 28%.
The major exporters of frozen white legged shrimps are Vietnam, China, India, Thailand and Indonesia.
About 52 %, or 569 tons, of all goods were imported from Vietnam, followed by 23 % (252 tons) from China and 4%(154 tons) from India.
