89% imports from frozen giant tiger prawn come from Malaysia

In January 2020, imports of frozen giant tiger prawn reached 146 tons, down 37 % from 233 tons the previous year.
In the last six years (from 2015 to 2020), the average amount of imports in January was 186 tons. down about 21.5 %from 146 tons this year.
There are five major importers of frozen giant tiger prawn, including Malaysia, the Philippines and Vietnam.
About 130 tons in Malaysia, 9 tons in the Philippines, 5 tons in Vietnam, 2tons in Guinea and 0.1 tons in Indonesia.
January's cumulative unit price for each country is the highest at USD 21.67/kg, Philippines, and USD 12.20/kg, Malaysia.
Guinea USD 5.69/kg lowest formed.
