The Government and JICA promote aquaculture production in Bolivia

Authorities from the Ministry of Rural Development and Lands obtained the support of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to promote actions to strengthen fish production in Bolivian territory.
The project consists of the reactivation of fish farming, through the strengthening of the productive value chain and aimed at small and medium producers, reported that State portfolio.

With this objective, the general coordinator of the Vice Ministry of Rural and Agricultural Development, Orlando Achu, met with the deputy director of JICA, Shintaro Akiyama.
The Government channels resources through the Decentralized Public Fisheries and Aquaculture Institution and the Treasury to support productive enterprises.
To this he added the interest of Japan to help equip the Tiquina Center, the acquisition of embryonic eggs, technical assistance and training of professionals.
The execution of this productive project could begin from May of this year.
