International experts and sector leaders reinforce the International Declaration for Tuna Sustainability at a key meeting for the future of the Atlantic.

BILBAO – In an effort to secure the future of the oceans through cooperation and culinary excellence, the Bermeo Tuna World Capital association has hosted the institutional and gastronomic event "Sustainable Tuna Experience". The gathering took place at the Hotel Ercilla in the Biscayan capital, coinciding with the intersessional meeting of Sub-Committee 1 of ICCAT (International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas), held between May 5 and 7.

The event brought together more than 100 international experts who provide scientific and technical advice to ICCAT, the regional fisheries management organization responsible for regulating and conserving tuna fisheries in the Atlantic Ocean and adjacent seas.
