Tell us your story and make visible the invisible
One seafood worker in two is a woman. They are essential contributors to the
industry but remain invisible. In compliance with its objective to raise awareness
on the contribution of women in the seafood industry and to promote young
female professionals, the International Association for Women in the Seafood
Industry (WSI) launches the second edition of the “women in seafood” video
competition, with the support of the French Development Agendy (AFD) and
MATIS, Iceland.
Share with us in a short films (<4mn) what you have observed or experienced
as a woman involved in the seafood industry (fishing, seafood farming,
processing, trading, managing and all related activities, including teaching/
training).
Individuals, women and men, collectives and institutions, schools are invited to
send short videos (<4mn) which describe the life of woman in any segment of
the seafood industry (fishing, seafood farming, processing, trading, managing
and all related activities, including teaching/ training).
Two categories are open: <25 years old/>25 years old women. The two winners
will receive a 1,000 euros prize.
The contest closes on August the 31 st . The winners will be announced in late
September 2018. Videos need to be sent to wsi-video@matis.is and
contact@wsi-asso.org.
