Flexible store concepts, expansion areas and services: At Expo Real 2024 from October 7 to 9, 2024 (Hall C2, Stand 440), visitors will gain insights into the diverse offers and cooperation opportunities with the companies of Schwarz Group. In the Career Day section (Stand 4), Schwarz Immobilien Service, together with the other companies of Schwarz Group, will present itself as an employer in the real estate sector.
Holistic Solutions and Services for the Real Estate Industry
The companies of Schwarz Group are among the world's leading retail groups and are one of the largest real estate owners in Germany. The retail companies of Schwarz Group, Lidl and Kaufland, therefore play an important role as developers, buyers and tenants of expansion areas. At Europe's leading real estate trade fair, they will be presenting their diverse local supply solutions, which are optimally adapted to the needs of customers and local conditions. Lidl will also be demonstrating how the retail group acts as a safe and reliable partner, whether that is as a developer, buyer or tenant, even in economically challenging times. As such, the food retailer is seeking to engage in dialog with project developers and investors. Kaufland is also both a developer and a tenant and, as an operator of specialist retail parks and shopping centers, also benefits from extensive knowhow in the center management sector. At Expo Real, Kaufland will also be discussing how the company can help revitalize locations such as shopping centers in the future.
Sustainability is a priority when building new data centers for Schwarz Digits. By opening additional locations, the IT and digital division is responding to the increasing scope of its service portfolio and the growing number of customers for its digital services.
Schwarz Produktion will be providing insights into the optimization of existing production facilities and the construction of new ones for the manufacture of private-label products for the retail divisions of Schwarz Group. When developing its plants, Schwarz Produktion relies on sustainable construction and energy-efficient processes. Effective thermal insulation, modern air circulation systems, heat recovery from compressed air as well as the use of certified building materials are proof of this. Self-generation of renewable energy, for example through large-scale photovoltaic systems on the factory roofs, and the digitalization of production processes also characterize the real estate projects of Schwarz Produktion.
In addition, representatives from PreZero, the environmental service provider of Schwarz Group, will also be on-site and will be presenting the comprehensive portfolio of disposal and recycling solutions for the real estate industry.
Exciting Panel Discussions, Certified Sustainability at Lidl and PreZero
Guests visiting the stand of the companies of Schwarz Group can expect exciting panel discussions on various topics such as innovative real estate solutions, crisis security and success factors for large surfaces.
In this connection, Lidl and PreZero will be celebrating their successes on the road to greater sustainability: No fewer than two groundbreaking certifications will be awarded at Expo Real. Lidl will be receiving the DGNB platinum certification for its innovative timber store construction in Wangen. PreZero will be receiving the “Gold” standard for the certification of its waste and recyclables management pursuant to DIN Spec 91436 for its headquarters in Heilbronn and is thus very successfully embarking on the “Road to Zero Waste”.
Together, the companies are taking a step further toward sustainability: They are working intensively on the certification of Lidl stores in Germany pursuant to DIN Spec 91436. Here, too, the two companies are providing important impetus for the “Road to Zero Waste” by proving through certification that they are reducing waste, using resources wisely and closing loops. This is an important milestone for the companies of Schwarz Group on the road to a zero-waste future. The aim is to have completed the certification of the current 3,250 stores as well as the 39 administration and goods distribution centers of Lidl in Germany by 2027.
