The Skretting Aquaculture Research Centre (Skretting ARC) is located in Stavanger, Norway, and focuses on the nutrition of fish. The Skretting ARC team is dedicated to increasing productivity, pushing boundaries and expanding aquaculture horizons, with a constant focus on sustainability.
Skretting ARC is organised into three main research departments: Fish Nutrition, Feed Production and Fish Health, with two smaller departments for Food Safety/Quality Assurance and R&D in Chile. These are supported by four facilities: the ARC Fish Trials Centre at Lerang, Norway and in Mozzecane, Italy, the ARC Laboratory and the Feed Technology Plant. Skretting ARC comprises a team of 42 members with 13 nationalities. It collaborates with several universities and institutes across the globe.
Skretting ARC focuses in three ways on the improvement of sustainability in aquaculture and increasing production to help feed the world of tomorrow. These are; to reduce dependence on limited marine raw materials, to increase productivity of currently farmed species and to develop feeds for new farmed species.
