The South African Hake Longline Association (SAHLLA) was formally recognized by the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries as an Industrial Body in terms of Section 8(1) of the Marine Living Resources Act in November of 2011.
Full executive authority of SAHLLA rests with the National Executive Committee, who in turn is guided and supported by members of the West Coast Chamber (Cape Agulhas to Port Nolloth) and South and East Coast Chamber (Cape Agulhas to East London). Mr Redah De Maine currently chairs the South and East Coast Chamber whilst the West Coast Chamber and National Executive Committee is Chaired by Mr Clyde Bodenham.
